@AaronGustafson @nhoizey @foobartel @smashingmag @eleven_ty correct! Hugo is super fast. Have a look at the intro paragraph to github.com/avajs/ava (@ava__js explains it quite well). Eleventy is _mostly_ async and could take advantage of spawning threads—I would like to add it!
